HAUSE WINS ORSCA 7.0 CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP

Al "The Doctor" Hause has won his first ORSCA Class Championship in the 7.0 class. Going into the last race of the year Al was tied wtih Ricky Pennington in a tight points battle which could have went to either racer. In the last race of the year Al enough points for the win over Ricky by going to the semifinal round which he lost by a hair. Al has been running a NRT TH400 that was built 4 years ago with a Neal Chance 10" converter which he's been holding off on rebuilding for a while now so we're going to sponsor him a new Powerglide for 2008. We're certain the new glide will help his consistancy and reaction times, so 7.0 competitors better watch out for next year! Congratulations Al on your championship! We know you worked hard for it and we're real happy to see you take it home! |
SWINDOL WINS TEXAS TRUE TEN SHOOTOUT

NRT would like to give a

advantage over Huettel in a side by side, edge of your seat race where Swindol's
4.93@157.73 beat a slightly quicker 4.91@154.36 of Huettel's. Nice job guys! |

first of August at the AC Delco East Coast Nationals Robert Campisi ran an off the
trailer first pass of 7.05@198mph, then backed it up with a 7.04@203mph on his
second qualifying pass to qualify first out of 104 cars in his class. Later in
eliminations he ran a 6.98@202mph to rewrite both ends of the national record

HUETTEL WINS $10,000 LIMITED STREET BEAT THE HEAT @ MONTGOMERY
Texan Kyle Huettel drove a long way to
Montgomery Alabama for a chance to run Limited Street in the "Beat The Heat"
August 17th. You don't drive that far without setting your mind on winning, and
that's exactly what the Texan did!
Huettel
put down a 4.98@152.74 "who's your daddy" pass in qualifying which put him at the
top of the 20 car field, closely followed by #2 qualifier Keith Szabo with a
5.00@154.61. Those numbers foretold the story for eliminations, as Szabo and Huettel
both squared off in the final round. Even though Szabo absolutely cut down the tree
with a .003 light, problems downtrack meant he could not hold off Huettel's strong
4.93 charge which landed the big fat $10,000 paycheck in Mr. Huettel's lap.
Congratulations to both racers from Neal Racing Transmissions!

NEAL IN PENDING FINAL ROUND NMRA OUTLAW 10.5
Neal Racing Transmissions owner Keith Neal
is currently awaiting the chance to complete the final round of the rained out NMRA
Ford Nationals in Reynolds, Georgia.
Keith set Low ET at
the race with a 7.142@196.07 in his newly refurbished Outlaw 10.5 Mustang and made
it to the final round before rain shut down the event. The final will be
deceided at the next NMRA race which will be in Milan, Michigan where Tim Essick

URIST DOMINATES SSO AT NMRA BRADENTON SEASON OPENER

The NMRA kicked off
their 2007 season in sunny Bradenton, Florida with some exciting racing action March
8th. Reigning SSO World Champion John "Fireball" Urist made the long pull from
Albuquerque, New Mexico to compete in Super Street Outlaw. Despite a setback with a
burnt piston in testing, Urist mowed over Shobe, Lelsz and Burton in prior to the
final round where he faced Manny Buginga. Everyone went to the fence to watch the
Blower vs. Turbo final round between Urist and Buginga which should have been close,
but Buginga blew his transmission after launch giving Urist the win. Urist is off to a
powerful start for 2007 and proves once again why his Mustang wears the big #1 on
it's side. |
