Rob Campisi and Team set a new Powerglide World Record in Australia, his 5.975@254.52 blast puts him in the record books as the first to the 5's in both Australia and the United States for a 2 speed Powerglide Doorslammer.
His incrementals were 1.027, 2.720, 4.018@194.18 and 5.975@254.18 - and would you look at that backhalf... 60 mph gain from the 1/8th to the 1/4, talk about coming on STRONG on the top end! These guys have made some big gains in the last year and continue to improve.

URIST WINS SSO & LYONS TAKES DRAG RADIAL AT NMRA BOWLING GREEN
John Urist has won his SIXTH SSO Championship after winning the NMRA Season Final in Bowling Green October 3rd. The champ came to the race trailing John MacDonald by 175 points, but was able to consistently get down the track every round.
Urist defeated Chip Havemann in the final round putting him in the points lead and sealing the 2010 Championship.
Congratulations John on your race win and yet another NMRA SSO Championship!!!
Sean Lyon was also a big standout at the NMRA Bowling Green race in Drag Radial. Lyon, the #1 Qualifier easily defeated Jason Lee in the final where he unleashed a 7.820 out of the box. Lee didn't have enough for him, running more than a tenth behind with a 7.94. Lyon's 7.820 qualified for a new record in NMRA Drag Radial as well.

Update: Campisi just broke the record again, they went 6.21@237 last weekend (8/21). Incrementals were: 1.08 60', 2.79 to the 330', 4.14@186mph at 1/8th mile, 6.21@237! Watch out, these boys are flying!!!
Rob Campisi continues to lower the bar in Australian Pro Street with his most recent blast of 6.36@231.5. Rob and his company, Campisi Race Products, put this car in the 6's in May this year with a 6.41 pass, and obviously the team isn't setting on their rear's after breaking the record since they've done it once again. Congratulations to Rob and Campisi Race Products!

LYON WINS DRAG RADIAL AT NMRA JOLIET
NMRA Drag Radial Racer Sean Lyon took home the win at the NMRA/NMCA race in Joliet July 17th. Lyon, from
Panama City, Florida qualified #1 in his class with a 8.049@177.35
Sean then laid down consistant 8.0X ET's in every round taking out Brian Tuten then
Steve Thompson (Holeshot Win), and met up with Jason Lee in the final. Lee put up a good fight in a close race during the final round but couldn't catch Lyon who ran 8.006@176.51 to Lee's 8.047@175.73.
After the NMRA win, Sean went on to face Bill Trovato in the Race for the Rings, but it was his turn to come up a little to short on the tree. Trovato got there first with a 7.993 despite Lyon's quicker 7.981.

SZABO GETS HIS FIRST WALLY
Keith Szabo snagged his first Wally at the June 12th NHRA Unleased race at Atlanta! Szabo was in his championship winning Silver Mustang running Limited Street and showed the other competitors how to get down the track in the daytime heat!
Keith defeated Jerry Gunter in round 1, got a bye in the second round, then worked over Kevin Cram in the semis. In the final round he meet up with Eric Dillard and promptly dispatched him with a Hole Shot Win! Dillard went 4.896@162.74 vs Keith's 4.899@161.54, but wasn't quick enough on the tree handing the win to Szabo.
Way to go Keith!!

URIST SNAGS HOLESHOT WIN AT NMRA ATCO
John Urist took home the win in Super Street Outlaw at the third NMRA event of the year in Atco New Jersey.
The 4 time back to back NMRA Hot Street Champion beat John MacDonald on a hole shot in the final, 7.432@190.92 over MacDonalds 7.401@193.93.

We've
got to take a few minutes and brag about one of our Dealers, Rob Campisi from
Australia. Rob recently went 6.41@229mph in his Pro Street Mustang making it the
Fastest Turbo Car in Australia. But the record breaking ain't going to stop there
as that was done on 25 lbs of boost, and Rob's got quite a bit more on tap!
Rob's
not new to setting records, he was also first to the 6's in the land down under,
and we're proud to have him and his company Campisi Race Products - CRP represent
